Morrow

Chibi art generator from your photo.

Use Morrow’s chibi art generator to turn a reference photo into an illustrated character with a large head, a small body and soft color. Start with one person and choose full-body framing so the proportions have room to show.

From your reference to a result.

  1. Bring one reference

Use the creation button on this page, upload a JPG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB and confirm your crop. Use a reference you own or have permission to edit.

  2. Keep Chibi selected

This page’s creation link carries the Chibi preset to the studio. Choose full-body framing if you want the compact figure, not only a close-up face.

  3. Describe a few details

Name an outfit, expression or simple background. If a detail is absent from the photo, describe what you want instead of expecting the model to recover it.

  4. Review and download

Check the displayed credit cost before generating. Inspect the face, fingers, limbs and silhouette, then download the version you want to keep.

RECORDED EXAMPLE

What happened in this test.

Oct 13, 2026
The actual fictional adult reference used in this recorded test
Test input: homepage artwork, central adult selected by the prompt
Actual result: Photo to chibi
Actual output

This is one recorded result, not a guarantee for every reference.

Historical provider-only style test at 1K. This did not test a production Morrow account, moderation, credit deductions, saving or downloading.

Visible in the output

  • A large head, short limbs and a compact full-body silhouette are visible. Blonde hair, blue eyes and a light sweater carry into the drawing.
  • The result adds jeans, boots, a waving hand and a pastel background with small stars.

What this does not establish

  • One fictional adult input and one result do not establish exact likeness or reliable results for every reference.
  • The input contains surrounding style cards and graphics, so this is not a clean single-person portrait benchmark.
  • The newly drawn body, shoes and waving hand are invented details, not recovered information from the cropped reference.
Test conditions and recorded prompt

Historical Kie provider-only request on 13 October 2026 using the site’s livePrompt and model schema, at 1K. This did not test production sign-in, moderation, account credits, saving or downloading. The full homepage artwork was submitted; the prompt selected its central fictional adult. No new generation was made for this page.

Recorded test prompt

Visual style (chibi): Illustrate a cute chibi character with an oversized head, small body, compact short limbs, expressive eyes, a clear full-figure silhouette and soft pastel color. Retain the reference hairstyle, outfit details and defining features. Avoid realistic adult body proportions. Keep defining facial features and hairstyle recognizable from the reference where visible.. User request: Use only the large central adult blonde woman in the reference, with her recognizable blue eyes and wavy blonde hair. Ignore the four small example cards, arrows and graphic background. Create one character image with a simple background, no collage, no lettering.. Single image. Full body

Before you spend credits.

  • A clear face helps with the hairstyle and expression. Include the outfit and body in your reference if those details matter.
  • A full-body result can invent shoes, hands and clothing hidden in the input. Check those additions rather than treating them as recovered details.
  • Chibi deliberately changes facial and body proportions. It can suggest the same character without preserving an exact photographic likeness.

The starter grant covers one standard image. It is a trial, not unlimited free generation. Sets, editing and background removal have separate costs. Read the credit and failure answers.

Common questions.

How is chibi different from anime or cartoon?

Chibi is defined here by its oversized head and compact body. Anime emphasizes drawn linework and cel shading; Cartoon uses simplified forms and flat color. Each is a separate preset in Morrow.

Can I make a chibi avatar from my photo?

Yes. Upload a permitted photo, choose Chibi and review the result before using it as an avatar. You may need to crop the downloaded image to fit the destination.

Does this create a transparent sticker pack?

No. The initial result is a still image and may have a background. Remove background is a separate paid action on a completed result; automatic sticker-pack export and messaging-app installation are not part of this workflow.

Is it free to try?

New accounts receive starter credits once after email sign-in, enough for one standard image with a watermark. Further generations and background removal use credits. Review the cost of each action in the studio before submitting.
